Dad took us to Long Island to check out a few towns to see if we would want to live there. We drove by a few houses for sale too. Here is a photo of us having lunch at a pizza parlor in Glen Cove.
My AB (Aunt Betsy) is so sweet. Even though we could not spend Christmas with her in New Orleans, she still sent a box full of goodies to our house. I got a Le Petit Prince pop up book (The Little Prince- for those of you who don't speak French) and a designer sweater and skirt that can be worn multiple ways. Mom and dad got monogrammed stationary by a local New Orleans artist, monogrammed mugs, French soaps and an international transit guide book (perfect because we love to travel so much and we love public transportation too). Mom also got a beautiful orange ostrich clutch by Rebecca Minkoff. Here is a photo of me in my new outfit, it's a little big but I heard that's how Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen like to wear their clothes too :) Also a photo of dad wearing my skirt as a hat! My AB always picks out the best things and has so much style (She writes a fashion blog called Sass and Seersucker) It's a never ending Christmas! Thanks AB!
My mom used to own a modeling agency and 2 weeks ago, one of her former employees sent her a casting for Similac formula. Mom sent my photos just to see what would happen and the casting directors called us immediately for an audition. We went the next day to Donna Grossman Casting. Mom wasn't sure that we would be picked because there were so many babies at the casting. But, a week later, they called and put me on first hold for the shoot. While we were in New Orleans for Aunt Rosie's wedding, they called again to confirm me for the shoot. So, this past Thursday March 24th, we showed up at Industria Studios in the meatpacking district of Manhattan for our first job. Daddy came with us and happened to know a few people at the studio. Anyhow, we were there for three hours and photographer Christa Renee ( http://www.christarenee.com/www/ ) shot my lovely hands for the Similac Image Library. It was pretty funny when the production assistant wrapped me in nothing but a blanket...n...
I went back to see Dr. Ramon Murphy last week at Uptown Pediatrics for my 1 month check up. He was the original doctor who saw me in the hospital and was referred to us by the obstetrician who delivered me, Dr. Gila Leiter. Mom and dad took me to a pediatrician in Yonkers for my post hospital check up and we didn't like the doctor at all. We think Dr. Murphy is just the best, nicest and most knowledgeable. We also love his soothing voice. Anyhow, everything looks wonderful. I'm now 8 lbs. 14 ounces and 21 inches in length (which Dr. Murphy said was tall!). No immunizations until next visit. Yippee! A little about Dr. Murphy from the Uptown Pediatrics Website www.uptownpediatrics.com : Ramon J.C. Murphy, MD, MPH Specialty: Pediatrics, Community Medicine Ramon Murphy founded Uptown Pediatrics in 1982. He received his undergraduate education at University of Notre Dame, his medical degree at Northwestern University, and his MPH at Columbia University. After doing in...
